Purpose Raised Livestock

Our livestock program is focused on raising gentle, well-socialized animals that can serve both therapeutic and practical purposes. From birth, our animals are handled with patience and consistency, helping them develop calm temperaments and positive relationships with people. This makes select animals wonderful candidates for therapeutic programs and meaningful additions to family farms and homesteads.

We also intentionally raise multi-purpose livestock for families seeking greater self-sufficiency. Our cattle, goats, and sheep are selected with an emphasis on temperament, manageable size, hardiness, and productive qualities. Depending on the breed and individual animal, they can provide high-quality milk, nutritious home-raised meat, breeding potential, and companionship. Our goal is to produce healthy, well-cared-for livestock that can contribute to a family's food system while also bringing the connection, purpose, and joy that comes from caring for animals.

Some of the smallest animals at Jenkins Draw have a way of creating the biggest smiles. Our miniature goats, pigs, lambs, barn cats, and dogs each bring their own personality, purpose, and a little bit of magic to life on the farm.

Our horses are at the heart of life at Jenkins Draw. From quiet moments of connection to trail rides, ranch work, learning, and therapeutic experiences, each horse has something unique to teach us about trust, confidence, communication, and ourselves.

We believe horses can create connection in ways words sometimes cannot. Whether someone comes to ride, learn, heal, or simply experience the peace of being beside a horse, our herd helps create a place where people can slow down, reconnect, and grow.

Our micro, mini, and midsize cattle are more than beautiful additions to the farm—they are truly multipurpose animals. Their smaller size and gentle nature can make them wonderful companions for families, homesteads, and therapeutic farm programs, while many breeds can also provide quality milk and home-raised beef.

For families looking toward greater self-sufficiency, smaller cattle offer a practical way to produce food, connect with the land, and experience the rewards of raising livestock—even without a large-scale ranch.
